Following another tough road defeat, a banged up Meadowview Christian School Trojans football team hopes to bounce back when it hits the road again Friday.

The Trojans (1-4, 0-2) will head to Prattville to play the Autauga Academy Generals (5-0, 3-0) Friday at 7 p.m.

Meadowview head coach John Glasscock said his team has to get healthy after suffering some bumps and bruises in last week’s 58-12 loss at East Memorial Christian Academy.

“We need to check and see who can go and try to get them back out there,” Glasscock said.

Glasscock said the Trojans will be facing one of the best teams in the Alabama Independent Schools Association when it takes the field Friday night.

“They’re probably the best 1A school in the AISA,” Glasscock said. “They’re undefeated and they beat a 3A school in Prattville Christian. They’ve got a lot of depth, they’ve got speed and size. I mean they’re a very good football team.”

The Generals are coming off a 49-13 win over South Montgomery County Academy last Friday night.

Along with getting healthy, Glasscock said the Trojans will also have to control the football to win Friday night.

“We’ve got to find out who’s going to be able to go and we’re just going to have to control the football and run the clock,” Glasscock said. “We have to try to stay close to them and try to win in the fourth quarter.”
