Saints knock off Southside

Selma dominated Southside in an 82-47 win on Saturday night.

It was the Saints’ highest point total this season.

“We did a better job tonight,” said Selma coach Woodie Jackson. “Defensively, we continued the momentum that we got last night against Demopolis. We played with a great deal of intensity.”

Justin Ravizee led the Saints with 22 points. Wendell Lewis scored 19 and added 15 rebounds and three blocks. Jamie King contributed 13 points and 10 rebounds.

Desmond Moore led the Panthers with 15 points.

Selma returns to action with a home game against Keith on Friday.

Selma 53, Southside 41

The Lady Saints knocked off their rival, Southside, in a 53-41 win on Saturday night.

Ashley Grimes led the Saints with 18 points. Kamesha Strong contributed 13 and Breanna Smith added 10.

Nicky Williams paced the Panthers with 16 points and Reba Blackmon added 12.
