Morgan 47, Monroe 35

Morgan Academy secured a spot in the regional tournament’s final game with a 47-35 win over Monroe Academy on Thursday.

Sam Tate led the Senators (17-8, 9-4 region) with 17 points, seven rebounds and two blocks. Coal Brown scored 14 points and pulled in 12 rebounds.

Central Christian 88, South Choctaw 36

Central Christian advanced to the second round of the AISA Class A, Region 2 tournament with an 88-36 win over South Choctaw.

Pierre Coleman led the Warriors with 26 points. Bryant Rawls added 20 points and 10 rebounds, Wesley Bell finished with 11 points and 13 rebounds and Keevan Woods chipped in 10 points and nine rebounds.

Morgan 55, Prattville Christian 33

Morgan knocked off Prattville Christian to advance to the second round of the AISA Class AAA, Region 2 tournament on Thursday.

April Clark led the Senators with 16 points. Caitlin Henderson added 15 points and 13 rebounds. Sarah Hughey finished with 13 points and 13 rebounds.

Central Christian 69, Sumter 32

Central Christian knocked off Sumter in a 69-32 win on Thursday.

Kara Rawls led the Warriors with a quadruple double — 28 pts, 17 rebounds, 10 assists and 11 blocks. Tiffany Brown added 23 points and 10 rebounds. Sandretta Thomas finished with 10 points and 14 rebounds.
