The Keith Lady Bears moved to 5-3 on the season with a 67-30 victory over Maplesville Tuesday night.

Zykia Pettway led the way for Keith with 26 points, making thirteen two-point shots in a dominating performance. Ambreya Snow added 12 points for the Bears.

“Their ball handling wasn’t very strong so we played man defense and got a lot of quick layups,” Keith head coach Cecil Williams said.

Williams was proud of Pettway’s performance, which was one of her strongest of the season thus far.

“She didn’t miss any of her shots inside tonight,” Williams said. “She took her time and made them and put them up on the glass. It was a big improvement from the last couple of games where she was falling away from the basket.”
