DADEVILLE — After a 4-4 tie with four minutes left in the first quarter, the Dadeville Lady Tigers would go on a 12-0 run to burst the game open and not look back, defeating Dallas County 56-41 last night.

Dadeville would transition into a full court press to start the second quarter and dominate the Lady Hornets down low to take a 32-20 lead into the half.

Dadeville would extend the lead to 42-26 at the end of the third period, as Dallas County would only hit three baskets.

The Lady Tigers would slow the game down in the fourth quarter to preserve the victory.

Kierra Billingsley and Rae Williams both scored 17 apiece to lead Dadeville. Janeisha Moss added nine points for the Lady Tigers.

Takeela Mixon had 22 points for Dallas County to lead all Lady Hornet scorers.

“I liked the way we came out and the way we are playing right now,” DHS head coach Mitch Joiner said.

“We will focus on free throws and get ready for the next round.”

Dadeville moves on to the regional tournament Thursday afternoon.
