Meadowview boys open season with victory

ALABASTER — Meadowview Christian School opened its season with a boys’ victory Tuesday night, bouncing Kingwood 50-32.

The leading scorers for MCS were Adam Brown with 13 points (seven steals), Daniel Blackmon and Justin Freine with 12 apiece and Judson Mott with six. Mott and Freine each had 13 rebounds.

For Kingwood, Addison Webb scored 26 of his team’s 32 points.

The boys and girls got to Wilcox Academy in their next action.

(G) Selma 49, Lee-Montgomery 28 — Breanna Smith led the Lady Saints with 13 points. Keisha Moore added 11 and Janisha Jackson added 10.

L. Harrold placed Lee with 11 points.

The Selma teams host Wilcox Central on Friday.

(B) CCA 50, Autauga 34 — Bryant Rawls paced Central Christian Academy with 15 points and nine rebounds. Pierre Hogan and Wesley Bell each had 13 points.

The win was the season-opener for CCA.

C. Williams was tops for Autauga with 12 points.

CCA opens the Prattville tournament as defending champions at 5 p.m. Thursday.
