Hornets lose to Marbury, see season come to a close

Dallas County saw its baseball season come to a close last week in back-to-back losses to Marbury in the first round of the playoffs.

The Hornets lost 10-0 and 14-0 in the two games.

 

Morgan defeats Pike Liberal Arts to advance

The Morgan Academy Senators baseball team kept its season alive Saturday with an 8-7 victory over Pike Liberal Arts Saturday in the first round of the AISA playoffs.

Pike won the first game 12-3 and Morgan won game two 4-3, leading to a third game between the teams to decide which team would move on.

The Senators will play at Bessemer Academy Thursday at 3:30 p.m.
