The Eagles will next play in the AISA Class A state tournament with their first game at Faulkner University in Montgomery on Friday. The Eagles are still waiting to find out who their opponent will be, but they’re heading back into the gym to make sure they’re ready no matter who it is.

“We’ve just got to come in the gym, practice hard and go back to basics,” Hendrieth said. “They (Cornerstone) kind of knocked us off our high horse. We’ve been on a six-game winning streak, so it’s better to lose now when it didn’t really matter than to lose next week.”
