Selma’s Dixie Flips Gymnastics team competed in its last fall season invitational meet in Tuscaloosa at the Bama Rama on Saturday, Nov. 8.

The only level three, Evey Craig, placed seventh on vault, seventh on beam, fourth on bars, sixth on floor and fifth in all-around.

A total of eight level two’s competed in three age divisions. Jr. A, the youngest gymnasts made up of Jaden McGee, who placed first on vault, third on bars, eighth on beam, fourth on floor and second in all-around. Molly Bohannon placed eighth on vault, tenth on bars, tenth on beam, third on floor and tenth in all-around and Madalyn Stevens who placed seventh on vault, eighth on bars, ninth on beam, eleventh on floor and eighth in all-around.

Jr. B consisted of Brooke Egbert placing ninth on vault, ninth on bars, fifth on beam, ninth on floor and eighth in all-around. Cameran Duncan placed eighth on vault, third on bars, tenth on beam, fifth on floor and ninth in all-around.

Keenan Lee McHugh placed tenth on vault, sixth on bars, second on beam, first on floor and sixth in all-around. Shyana Montoro placed seventh on vault, tenth on bars, eighth on beam, sixth on floor and tenth in all-around.

In the Jr. C age group was Ruth Stevens who placed eleventh on vault, fifth on bars, third on beam, fourth on floor and fourth in all-around.

The girls will travel to Mobile in December to compete in the State Competition.

Beginner gymnastics and tumbling classes are offered at Dixie Flips Gymnastics.

Classes are from 4:30-6:15 on Monday and 4:30- 5:30 on Wednesday. Team practice is 4:30-6:30 on Tuesday and Thursday.
