The Meadowview Christian School Trojans ended the season on a positive note, as they defeated the South Montgomery County Academy Raiders 40-6 on Thursday in Grady.

Lebo Jones, head football coach of Meadowview Christian School (3-7, 1-5 AISA Class 1A-Region 2) said his team put together a complete performance in Thursday’s win.

“We just played hard for four quarters tonight,” Jones said. “They just played a complete game together.”

Dylan Lawrence, Joel Taylor, Seth Taylor and Hunter Hale each scored touchdowns for Meadowview during Thursday’s win over the Raiders (2-8, 1-5 AISA Class 1A-Region 1)

Jones said ending with a win gives the Trojans something to build on for next season, and he added he saw improvement as Meadowview finished with a better record, finishing with two more wins than last season.

“It was real good for us to close the season with a win because it gives us something to build on for next year,” Jones said. “The kids were excited to send the seniors out on a good note. We had a pretty good year this year and we improved a lot.”
