Selma teenager killed Wednesday in single-vehicle crash

A Selma teenager was killed Wednesday morning in a single-vehicle crash.

Alabama Law Enforcement Agency reports that a 17-year-old was fatally injured when the 2016 Toyota Corolla the teen drove left the roadway, struck several trees, and overturned.

The juvenile was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash, which occurred on Dallas County 83, 12 miles northeast of Selma around 7:30 a.m. The identity of the teenager can’t be revealed by ALEA because of state law.

Nothing further details are available as Troopers with ALEA’s Highway Patrol Division continue to investigate the accident.
