The TNA Heat girls basketball team wrapped up their travel basketball season in New Orleans last week.

The Heat finished second in the Basketball on the Bayou tournament, earning a silver championship.

The squad features players from Southside, Selma High, Dallas County High and Keith. Several players made The Selma Times-Journal All Dallas County girls basketball team.

Players are Shania Moore, Markeria Robinson, Shabreona Griffin, Asst. Coach Lamesha Richardson, Shamya Allison, Taelor Rudolph, LaTerika Edwards, Caliyah Donaldson, ShiKeria Fails, Karnesha Gibson, Jakeria Robinson and Rod’Neisha Parker, Makihia Tolbert, Jameria Johnson and Khaleah Shanks.

Letti Hasberry is the head coach for TNA Heat.

Leading scorers throughout the tournament were Shamya Allison, Jakeria Robinson and LaTerika Edwards, who also led in rebounds and blocked shots at the New Orleans Tournament.

The TNA Heat also played well at other tournaments this year.
