MSgt. William A. “Junior” Patrick Jr. age 87, of Albertville, formerly of Selma, passed away on Saturday, January 2, 2021 at Talladega Health and Rehab in Talladega.

He was born on March 28, 1933 in Billingsley to the late William A. Patrick, Sr. and the late Mary Geneva Barber Patrick.

He was retired from the United States Air Force after 21 years of dedicated and faithful service to his country, with his last station being at Craig Air Force Base in Selma. He traveled and was stationed all over the world, Japan, Hawaii, Tennessee and his home state of Alabama. He also retired from the State of Alabama Central Alabama Rehabilitation Services for adults and crippled children in Selma.

He was a very educated man, he held many Degrees including an English, History, Auto Mechanic and Journeyman Electrician Degree.

He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Betty Jo Bristow Patrick; sons, Steve (Angie) Patrick, Cullman,  and Wm. David (Jackie) Patrick, Albertville,; daughter, Cassandra M. Patrick Foshee Selma,; six grandchildren; four great-grand children; and numerous nieces, nephews, friends and other family members.

His granddaughter Darla Michelle Patrick-Day lovingly helped him in his last years, along with her children whom he loved to let sit in his lap, Liam James and Lily Anne Day. Grandaddy was so loved by them. He is preceded in death by his father and mother; son, J. Garland Patrick; four brothers; and four sisters.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, January 6, 2021 at 2 p.m.from the Chapel of Selma Funeral Home with with Pastor Alton Bristow officiating.

Interment will follow in Pineview Memory Gardens.

The family will receive friends from 1-2 p.m .on Wednesday at the funeral home. Masks and social distancing are required. Final care and arrangements have been entrusted to Selma Funeral Home.
