The Selma Police Department have identified the victims in last weekend’s horrific shooting.
Damaris Towns shot his ex-girlfriend, Shekuria Johnson and then shot himself, according to Selma Police Chief Kenta Fulford and Dallas County District Attorney Michael Jackson. The shooting is being called a murder-suicide.
The incident took place occurred between King Street and Water Avenue around midnight on Dec. 19. Fulford said the SPD “responded to the shooting and found an unresponsive black male and female both suffering from gunshot wounds.”
Fulford said the incident remains under investigation by the SPD.
