Doyle “Gwannie” LeGwannie Dixon, 75, husband of 47 years to Geraldine Hopkins Dixon, entered into eternal rest Thursday, July 12, 2018 at Jefferson Hospital in Louisville Georgia. Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, July 15, 2018 at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church Cemetery in Avera, GA with Rev. Bill Seaman officiating.   

Other survivors include children Barry Chalker (LaDonna), Angela Sebastian (John), and Melisa Dixon; four siblings, Loyce Dixon (Marilyn), Keith Dixon (Wanda), Delaine Oglesby (R.C.) and David Dixon (T.J.); seven grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.

Because of the unexpected nature of their loss, the family respectfully requests that in lieu of flowers memorial contributions be made directly to James Funeral Home, P.O. Box 588, Wrens, Georgia  30833.
