Cecil M. Gayle, Jr. died at his home in Selma on May 17, 2018. He was born Sept. 27, 1937, in Selma, to Ethlyn Bennett and Cecil M. Gayle Sr.
He was a member of St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Selma.
He was preceded in death by his partner of 26 years: Kenneth Roy Parker.
He is survived by his partner John R. Miller; cousin: Mary Day Bennett; several other cousins and a special friend: Johnny Craig. A Memorial Service will be held at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church at a later date. Burial will follow at St. Wilfred’s Episcopal Church in Marion.
