Lt. Col. (Ret.) Thomas Ray Lockhart, age 72, passed away Friday, Nov. 17, 2017, in a Montgomery hospital surrounded by his family.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Estelle and Thomas Lockhart; and brother Jimmy Lockhart.

Ray is survived by his wife, Betty Lockhart; children, Tom (Lisa) Lockhart and Kelley Lockhart Hartley; their mother, Molly Holroyd Lockhart; and Jeff Ellis; brothers, Ric (René) Lockhart and Mike (Cheryl) Lockhart; sister, Kathy (Ray) Champion; grandchildren, Selena Ellis, Abigail Lockhart, Elizabeth Lockhart, Eva Ellis and William Hartley. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Visitation will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 21, 2017, at Selma Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be at 11:30 a.m. in the chapel with the Rev. Rob Coburn officiating. Interment will be in the Milton Baptist Church cemetery.
Ray’s family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
