Robert Thomas “Tommy” Treese, Jr. age 70, of Selma, passed away Wednesday, Sept. 14, 2016.

He is preceded by parents: Robert Thomas Treese, Sr. and Sara Cornelia Smith Treese.

Mr. Treese is survived by his wife of 51 years: Cheryl Atkins Treese; his sister Margaret Treese of Buhl, sons, Robert Thomas “Robbie” Treese III, (Traci) of Auburn, Brett Houston Treese, (Michele Savage) of Hamilton, Virginia, Del St. John Treese, (Sadie) of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania; grandchildren, Jackson and Katie of Auburn, Lily of Hamilton, Virginia, Hermione, Isabella, and Josephine of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

Tommy attended Dallas Academy, Parrish High School, Birmingham Southern, graduated from AUM and earned his law degree from Faulkner University.

He worked for Hammermill for 25 years before opening his law practice.

Services will be graveside at 2 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 18, 2016, in the New Live Oak with the Rev. Steve Burton officiating and Lawrence Brown-Service Funeral Home directing. Visitation will be Saturday, September 17 from 5-7 p.m. at Lawrence Funeral home.
