Gus Jones, 73, of Birmingham, passed away March 17, 2016, at UAB in Birmingham. Services are scheduled for Friday, March 25 at 10:30 a.m. at Lewis Brothers Chapel with the Rev. Dr. Michael Martin officiating. Burial will follow in Fairlawn Memory Gardens with Lewis Brothers Funeral Home directing. Family hour will be held Thursday, March 24 from 6 – 7 p.m. at Lewis Brothers Chapel. He is preceded in death by his parents, Willie Jones Sr. and Louise Jones, and sisters, Evelyn Jones and Ethel Mae Jones. He is survived by his son, Gus Jones Jr.; daughter, Sherolyn Marie Jones; brothers, Willie Jones Jr. and Burl Jones; sister, Marion Cole; one grandchild, Khayla Marie Jones.
