Mr. John A. “Scott” Blackman, Sr., 75, resident of Hayneville, (Blackbelt,), Alabama, passed away Monday, October 6, 2014 at Baptist South Medical Center in Montgomery, AL. Services are scheduled for Saturday, October 11, 2014, 12:00 noon at Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church, Gordonville, AL officiated by Pastor John C. Smith. Burial will follow in Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery directed by Randall Miller Funeral Service.

He is preceded in death by parents, Hugh Hrobowski and Annie A. Blackman.

Survivors include spouse, Mrs. Lillan B. Blackman; six sons, John A. Blackman Jr., Alvin Lewis Blackman, James Carl Blackman, and Lovester Blackman, Barry Blackman, and Robert Brown; two daughters, Vasseline Vickers and Ruby Norwood ; one brother, Brenda Lewis, Alma Surles, Belua Blackman, Blanche Jackson, and Felicia Blackman; twenty-six grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren. Other relatives include Louise Ware and family of Hasting, FL; dedicated sister, Felicia Blackman; dedicated son, Robert Brown; special friends, Joe Rudolph and Arthur Surles.
