Mary Thomas was born March 26,1940 to the late Percy and Elmira Thomas in Dallas County.

Services will be held Saturday, August 2, 2014, 12:00 noon at New Morning Star Baptist Church, Marion Junction, AL, officiated by Rev. R.L. Tolbert. Burial will follow in church cemetery directed by Lewis Brothers Funeral Home.

She confessed Christ in 1950 and joined the New Morning Star Baptist Church in Marion Jct, AL.

In 1959, she met her soul mate, Sye Ben Thomas and they became one until his death in August of 1999. She was preceded in death by her parents, two sons, Cornel and Sye Ben Thomas, two sisters, Janie and

Sarah, five brothers, Alex, Robert, Percy, Willie and Eddie Thomas.

After a brief illness, God called her home on July 24, 2014.

She leaves to cherish her precious memories one son, Jermain S. Thomas (Cassundra) Yokosuka, Japan; three daughters, DianeThomas-Hamm (Will) Prattville, AL, Vanessa F. Thomas and Alice T. Johnson Jonesboro, GA; four grandsons, Raphael E. Thomas Jonesboro, GA, LeDarrien C.

Thomas Prattville, AL, Jaelen C. and Ja`Cori M. Thomas Yokosuka, Japan; three brothers-in-law, seven sisters-in-law and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
