He was born in February 18, 1937 in Sunny South, AL.

He was a retired locomotive engineer for Southern Railroad and was a member of Sunny South Baptist Church.

He is Survived By: wife, Elsie Grey Finley,Sunny South, AL; daughter -Sharon (Ricky) Ault, Sunny South, AL; son,Gene P. Finley, Jr. ,Sunny South, AL; granddaughter,Lauren Elizabeth Ault, Sunny South, AL; grandson, Andrew Sean Ault, Sunny South, AL.

Funeral Services will be held at Sunny South Baptist Church on Saturday, August 14, 2010 at 10:00 AM with Rev. Warren Huggins and Rev. Denny Couturie officiating.

Burial will be in the Sunny South Baptist Church Cemetery.
