Willie Hawkins, 86, a resident of Southland Nursing Home in Marion, AL and formerly of Pine Apple, AL, passed July 22, 2010.

Graveside services are scheduled for 1 pm Thursday July 29, 2010 at Elmwood Cemetery with Rev. Earl Butler officiating.

Viewing will be held at the grave site prior to the services under the direction of J. H.

Williams & Sons Funeral Home.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Richard and Annie James Hawkins; sister, Annie Pearl Thompson; brothers, Richard, Jr., Alvin and James Hawkins; nephews, Stanley and Robert James Thompson.

Survivors include a daughter, Patricia Hawkins; two sons, Willie Hawkins, Jr.and Jerry Hawkins, all of Portland, OR; a brother, Robert Hawkins, Sr. of Bessemer, AL; nieces, Angela Hawkins and Lavern Denise Spears of Bessemer, AL; nephews, Robert Hawkins, Jr. of Bessemer, Carl Thompson of Atlanta , GA, and Marshall Thompson of Bessemer plus a host of other relatives and friends.

The family would like to thank Southland Nursing Home, Lynda Lowery and J. H. Williams & Sons Funeral Home for all their help, support, prayers and compassion at this time.
