Shirley Rose Young, age 68, of Selma, AL, passed away July 21, 2010.

She was preceded in death by her son, William Hanson Morgan, III; parents, Hugh and Elizabeth Herbertson; brother, Hugh Herbertson, Jr. and sister, Ann Carter.

Surviving are her husband, Merle “Dale” Young; sons, Wayne Morgan, John (Lisa) Morgan and Adam (Raylene) Morgan; daughter, Lore (Donald) Lucas; brother, Robert Herbertson; sister, Marguerite Hermann and grandchildren, Timothy Lucas, Jessica Morgan, Ashley Morgan, Emily Morgan, Katie Morgan and Zak Morgan.

Funeral services will be Monday, July 26, 2010 at 1:00 p.m. at Christ the King CEC Church with Bishop Chuck Jones officiating.

Interment will be in New Live Oak Cemetery with Selma Funeral Home directing.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday, July 25, 2010 from 2-4:00 p.m.

A prayer vigil will be held Sunday at 7:00 p.m. at Christ the King CEC Church.

In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial donations to be made to Save-A-Life, 218 Union Street, Selma, AL 36701.
