Celebration of life service for Robert Cochran will be held on Sunday, August 26, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. at Hill Crest Memorial Chapel. The service will be officiated by Pastor Stewart Freeman. Interment will follow at Hill Crest Memorial Park. The family will be receiving friends on Saturday, August 25, 2012 at Hill Crest Memorial Funeral Home from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m.

He was a member of Temple Masonic Lodge #444, Past Master Shreveport Lodge #115-1976, El Karubah Shrine/Patrol Unit, and served in the U.S. Air Force. He retired from the City of Bossier City, where he served as Tax Administrator for many years. He was an avid fisherman.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Mattie J. Cochran; father, James Hardie Cochran; son, Christopher Hardie Cochran; brothers, James T. Cochran and Marcus Cochran.

Robert is survived by his son, Robert Brian Cochran and wife Michelle of Sibley, LA and grandson, Britt Thompson. He is also survived by his brothers; James Oliver Cochran and wife Nancy of Marion, AL, William Cochran and wife Gwen of Greensboro, AL and Ernest T. Cochran and wife Faye of Greensboro, AL and sister, Elizabeth Johnson and husband Jimmy of Marion, AL. and numerous nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Richard Dubois, Don Howard, Martin Faktor, Doyle Helms, Perry Cochran and Russell Smith. Honorary pallbearers will be James Oliver Cochran, William Cochran, Ernest T. Cochran and Jimmy Johnson.

Memorials may be made to Shriner’s Hospital.
