Joyce Calloway McWilliams, age 75, formerly of Selma, died Wednesday November 19, 2008. She was preceded in death by her father, Fletcher Golson Calloway, Sr.; mother, Mary Elizabeth Quarles Bailes; brothers, Charles Lewis Calloway, Ronald Calloway, Donald Calloway, Joshua H. Wells, and Zachary K. Wells; and her husband, Charles McWilliams.
Survivors include her daughter, Rebecca Persons Wells; son-in-law, Kenneth H. Wells; granddaughter, Anna Rebecca Wells, all of Scottsboro, AL; brother, Fletcher (Pete) Golson Calloway, Jr.; sister-in-law, Sandra Calloway, of Smithville, Missouri; aunt, Daisey Messer, of Selma; two nephews, four nieces and many cousins.
Services will be held Saturday, November 22, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. at Church Street United Methodist Church with Reverend Frank Calloway, Reverend Lee Tate and Reverend Fred Ziegler officiating and Lawrence Brown-Service Funeral Home directing. Visitation will be Friday, November 21, 2008 from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Frank Calloway Jr., Wayne Calloway, Timothy Calloway, Bobby Quarles, Kenny Parker and Jim Parker. Honorary pallbearers will be the Albert G. Parrish Class of 1951, and the staff of Cumberland Health and Rehab.
