Cecil James Blackmon, age 58, of Selma passed away on Friday December 5, 2008 at a local hospital. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday December 10, 2008 in the Chapel of Lawrence Brown-Service Funeral Home at 2:00 p.m.
Mr. Blackmon is survived by his wife, Margaret Blackmon, his children, Amanda Ware (Jerry), Justin Blackmon (Brandy), Adam Blackmon (Ashley Pierce), Jennifer Mitchell (Chris Moore), Thomas Day (Kendra), and Anthony Blackmon, his grandchildren, Abbygail Ware, Mallorie Blackmon, Trinity Rylee, Kale Rylee, and 3 granchildren yet to be born.
Mr. Blackmon is also survived by his brothers and sister, Dempsey Blackmon, Ed Blackmon, Albert Blackmon, Ralph Blackmon, Steve Blackmon, Danny Blackmon, Jua-nita Kaldor, and Vitctor Blackmon. He is preceded in death by a sister, Kitty McCoulough, and his parents, Willard and Ola Blackmon.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday December 9, 2008 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
