Pinkie Lee Ghee Adams was born in Selma, Alabama, on August 7, 1940. The daughter of the late Otto Garner and Catherine Ghee. She departed this life on January 13, 2009 in Miami, FL. Services will be held Saturday, January 24, 2009 at 12:00 PM at Brown Chapel A.M.E. Church with Rev. James E. Jackson officiating.
Preceding her in death were her siblings Bertha, Mary, and James.
She leaves to cherish her memories: Mother, Catherine Ghee; Husband, Bernard Adams, of Miami, FL; five children, Arthur (Dedra) Ghee, of Lathonia, GA; William (Joyce) Canty of Montgomery, AL; Barbara A. Ghee, Gloria J. Ghee, Frances G. Brown (Darryl), all of Selma, AL; three sisters, Essie M. Smith of Selma, AL; Patricia A. (Arthur) Collier of Miami, FL; Sarah (Antoine) Franklin of Monroe, GA; twelve grandchildren, Johnathan Ghee, Tamika Ghee, James Gordon, Jr., Horace R. Brown, Lamar Canty, Jammie Gordon, Brandon Ghee, Kendrick Gordon, Davian Brantley, Aneera Ghee, Jada Flanagan, Semirey Ghee; five great-grandchildren; two sisters-in-law; one brother-in-law; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
