Bessie Weedon Duren, 82 passed away Thursday, Feb. 19, 2009 in Birmingham. She was born April 11, 1927 to Herman &Bertha Weedon, deceased. She married Morris Duren &he preceded her in death. Survivors include children Richard and Carolyn Duren of Birmingham, twin sister Bertha Weedon Wood, Spokane, WA, Boots Kerr Miles, Findlay, OH, &several cousins in Selma.
Mrs. Duren and her sister grew up in the home of Bessie &Jack Kerr, their aunt and uncle. She graduated from Albert G. Parrish High School/1946 and Carraway Methodist Hospital School of Nursing/Birmingham/1949. She spent her career as a Pediatric Nurse at Carraway Hospital. Funeral arrangements are pending.
