Ms. Mary Strong, 78, resident of Houston, Texas, formerly of Selma, AL., passed away December 7, 2011 in M.D. Anderson Hospital. Services are scheduled for Saturday, December 17, 2011, 1:00 p.m. at Sandridge Baptist Church officiated by Rev. Milton E. Brown. Burial will follow in Sandridge Cemetery directed by Miller Funeral Service of Selma.

Mary leaves a legacy of family and friends who will dearly miss her: one son, Joseph (Shaneva) Strong, Jr. of Selma, AL; five daughters, Sadie (Rev. Glenn) King of Selma, AL., Gwendolyn (Dennis) Dawson, Sharron (Marvin) Lake, Rhodia (Darren) Mckenzie and Evelyn Strong, all of Missouri City, TX; sixteen grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren; two brothers, Paul Richmond, Jr. of Houston, TX. and Joseph (Margaret) Richmond of Detroit, MI; three brothers-in-laws; Wesley Strong, Roosevelt (Carrie) Strong, and Robert (Francis) Strong all of Selma, AL; four sisters-in-laws, Cora Minor, Leola Jackson, Della Strong, and Vivian Strong, all of Selma, AL., and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
