Meadowview Christian School sixth-grader Owen Rouse is the Selma City Council’s student of the month for April.

Rouse was presented with the award from Selma City Council President Billy Young and other members of the city council. Rouse’s parents, Scott and Stacee Rouse and his teachers were all in attendance.

“Owen is a strong academic student, very helpful to his teachers and fellow students,” Young said. “ His favorite subjects are math and spelling. When he is not at school, he loves to hunt, fish, ‘work’ cows and participates in bull-riding contests.”
