Five Dallas County players make ASWA All-State Basketball team

Five Dallas County players made the Alabama Sportswriters Association  (ASWA) All-State basketball team.

Guards Tommy Tisdale III of Keith and Morgan Academy’s CJ Williams made the boys’ team. Jakayla Moore of Keith, Southside’s Shamaya Allison, and Sarah Moore of Morgan Academy made the girl’s team.

Tisdale made first-team Class 1A for the second straight year. Williams made an honorable mention in the Alabama Independent School Association (AISA). Tisdale, who played in the Alabama-Mississippi All-Star game on March 9, made the All-State team his entire prep career. This is Williams’ first All-State selection.

Allison made the third team in Class 3A for the second straight year. Moore earned third-team honors in Class 1A.  Sarah Moore earned an honorable mention selection in AISA. Jakayla Moore and Sarah Moore were picked for the first time.

Tisdale, a senior, averaged 27 points, eight assists and seven rebounds a game. Williams, a sophomore, averaged 20 points, four rebounds and four assists.

Jakayla Moore, a junior, averaged 16 points, six rebounds and six assists. Sarah Moore, a sophomore, averaged 12 points and six rebounds.
