Southbound lane of Alabama Highway 41 reopened

The southbound lane of Alabama Highway 41 has reopened after a two-vehicle crash blocked the roadway Tuesday morning.

According to Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA) Corp. Reginal King, the crash occurred around 8:04 a.m. Dec. 12, closing the lane near the 113-mile marker. One vehicle involved was a commercial vehicle. Information about the other vehicle is not yet available.

“The southbound lane of Alabama 41 near the 113-mile marker in Dallas County is currently blocked and will be for an undetermined amount of time,” King said Tuesday morning.  “The Alabama Department of Transportation (ALDOT) is assisting with traffic control. Troopers with the agency’s Highway Patrol Division are currently on scene investigating and will continue to monitor the situation and provide updates accordingly.”

King confirmed around 2 p.m. the roadway was reopened. Driver and vehicle information remains unavailable.
