Selma Housing Authority will host Landlord Symposium next week

The Selma Housing Authority will host a Landlord Symposium at Wallace Community College-Selma on February 28.
At the 11 a.m. event, property owners in Dallas and Wilcox county area will learn about the opportunities to assist low-income families with housing.
“The upcoming Landlord Symposium will provide property owners a great opportunity to expand their rental portfolio while offering adequate housing for families under Section 8, especially those impacted by the recent tornado,” SHA CEO Kennard Randolph said. “We currently have many vouchers for families on the waiting list. Therefore, we need more landlords to help address this housing crisis.’’

The SHA has been active in the community since the January 12 tornado hit Selma. They teamed with the Rural Health Pediatric Mobile Unit, providing free medical care to the community.
