Club owner in Orrville murdered Sunday morning

A Dallas County man was murdered at a nightclub in Orrville Sunday morning.

According to Dallas County District Attorney Michael Jackson, club owner Jerry Rayford was killed at a club. Jackson said that Rayford, 57, was shot several times.

Jackson said that the Dallas County Sheriff Office arrested Tracy Moseley and charged him with murder and first-degree assault. According to Jackson, the shooting happened in Rayford’s nightclub. Before the shooting, Rayford allegedly threw some people out of the club after a fight.

Jackson said that Moseley is currently in the Dallas County Jail under no bond. He will be arraigned Tuesday in the Dallas County Courthouse.

No motive was given for the homicide as it remains under investigation by the Dallas County Sheriff Office.

This is the 20th murder in Dallas County for 2021, including 17 in Selma.
