Mr. Dan Williams, age 87 of Selma, passed away peacefully on Thursday, September 9, 2021 at Select Specialty Hospital in Birmingham.

He was born in Benton, on January 17, 1934 to the late Adam Williams and the late Annie Washington-Robinson. He was preceded in death by his mother Annie Washington-Robinson, Father Adam Williams, Step-father Luster Robinson, and sister Lucille Smith.

Mr. Dan was a proud Christian and at a young age joined the Summer Grove Missionary Baptist Church under Pastor H.O. Walker.

He leaves behind to cherish his memories; children, Jeffery Sanders, Darryl Sanders, Cynthia W. Harris (Michael), Yvonne Harris (Gregory), Rita Perry, Sharon Perry, Dan Williams, Jr. (Tashara), and Rodney Williams; siblings, Ann Jacox, Thelma Abrams (Robert), Sara White, Doris Griffin, Carolyn Gordon, Charlie Williams, Moses Williams, Sr., and Levi Williams (Patricia); 19 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, September 18, 2021 at 11 a.m. at Pineview Memory Gardens in Valley Grande. Visiting hours will be held on Friday, September 17, 2021 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Selma Funeral Home.
