Crosspoint Christian Church hosted a blood drive on Thursday.

Crosspoint Christian teamed up with Northside Baptist Church and American Red Cross to hold the blood drive. The three organizations also teamed up for a blood drive on June 3, 2020.

Russell Robinson, a Nurse at American Red Cross, said having blood on hand is critical in case of emergency.

“With the pandemic, it’s a great need to have blood,” Robinson said.

“It’s about being a blessing to others,” Smith said. “You never know who will need blood. There are so many different devastations: COVID, tornado victims or accident victims. If Jesus died on the cross for us, I think we should give a pint of blood.”
