Amber Edith Cook, 58, passed away on Sunday, June 7, 2020 at the hospital in Albany, Georgia near her home in Leesburg, Georgia.
Amber was born on April 12, 1962 at the Perry County Hospital in Marion.
She is survived by her husband of 16 years, William Michael Unger of Leesburg, Georgia; her parents Jewell Tolar Cook and Howard W. Cook, Jr. of Marion; daughter Candace Ratcliffe of Marion; two sisters Cynthia Cook Patterson (James) of Plantersville, Brenda Ann Cook (Mitchell Nicholas) of Marion and a large extended family of cousins, aunts, uncles and friends.
Amber was a devoted elementary school teacher and was blessed with a great passion for educating others of all ages. She dearly loved her exotic birds and the many friendships she and Mike formed within their bird community. Amber will be remembered as a loving wife, daughter, sister, mother, friend and teacher. She will be greatly missed by all. As per her wishes, a private service will be planned for the family.
