Mr. Matthew Mims, 74, of Selma, passed away January 21, 2019 in Selma. Services are scheduled for Wednesday, January 30, 2019, 11 a.m. at Clinton Chapel A.M.E. Zion Church with the Rev. Linda Harris Rives officiating. Burial will follow in Serenity Memorial Gardens with Randall Miller Funeral Service directing. He is survived by his wife, Bessie W. Mims; three daughters, Deborah Y. Williams, Francine T. Burks, and Janet Carr; brother, Ezzard Mims; three sisters, Delia Mims, Willie Mae Mims, and Maldonia Petterson; six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends.
