Madelon Oxford Houghland of Mentone passed away on April 7, 2017, in Birmingham.

She was the eldest daughter of Carl Bryant Oxford and Madelon Richardson Oxford, who preceded her in death.

She is survived by her husband, Michael Carl Houghland; her sons, Carl Oxford Houghland of Atlanta and Stewart Clay Houghland of Ft. Walton Beach, Florida; sisters, Carla Hampton (Randy) of Destrehan, Louisiana, Jean Deal(Ken) of Birmingham and Jane Malloch(Bill) of Birmingham.
Madelon was a graduate of Auburn University and a member of Delta Delta Delta Sorority. She was also a wonderful bridge partner.

A private celebration of life will be held by the family.
