Mr. Clanton Smith, 75, of Selma, passed away March 10, 2017, at Vaughan Regional Medical Center.

Services are scheduled for Saturday, March 18, 2017, at 11 a.m. at Mt. Ararat Missionary Baptist Church in Selma with the Rev. Dr. L.L. Ruffin officiating. Burial will follow in Lorenzo Harrison Memorial Gardens with Randall Miller Funeral Service directing.

He is survived by his spouse, Earlene Sharp Smith; son, Lee Arthur Clay of Selma; three daughters, Anita Smith, Felicia (Roosevelt III) Tinker and Mary J. Owens all of Selma; two brothers, Charlie Smith and Lonnie Smith both of Selma; four sisters, Barbara Smith, Betty Smith, Martha Smith, all of Selma, and Sarah Ologide of Landover, Maryland; 15 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
