Dear Editor,

I would like to thank you for continuing to support The Veterans of Foreign Wars and it’s auxiliary in our efforts to help veterans.

We will once again be distributing the Buddy Poppy in the Selma area. We again ask for your help in getting the word out.  Saturday, Nov.12, 2016, is our Buddy Poppy Drive.

The Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 3016, its auxiliary along with cadets from the Jr. R.O.T.C. from both Southside High School and Selma High School will be stationed at various locations around Selma distributing the Buddy Poppy for donations. The Poppy is free; your donation is priceless!

Here are some of the locations: Save-a-Lot Grocery, Wal-Mart, Winn Dixie, Dallas Ave., Dave’s Market on Hwy. 22, Gabe’s Grocery on Hwy 14 West, Selma Curb Market, the Tractor Show in Orrville and Gabe’s Grocery on Hwy. 14.

We are so proud of the people of Dallas County and the surrounding counties.

They show overwhelming support for veterans. As you may know, the “Buddy Poppy” is made by the disabled veterans in our VA hospitals throughout the United States.

All monies received goes to help veterans, their widows or families.

We ask again that they dig deep into their pockets and give to this worthy cause.
