Dear Editor,

I am 88 years of age. I registered to vote at the age of 19 and haven’t missed a community meeting, affair meeting and placed to cast my vote as of yet. I am well qualified to examine the record of candidates to evaluate whose proven record is better. I have completed my examination in Selma and highly recommend to the voters to look at the record before casting their vote.

I cannot tell you who to vote for, but I can tell you who has the best-proven record in Selma and that is James Perkins Jr.

You will compliment Selma greatly by voting for him.

He really cares for Selma and all that’s in it.
