Morgan Academy’s boys’ soccer team lost to Lee-Scott 5-0 Tuesday but got good news as the Senators avoided a major injury during the second half. 

Diyan Patel was injured in a collision with Lee Scott’s goalie in the second half. Patel left with a nose injury that bloodied his jersey, but coach Jay Minter doesn’t think he’ll miss a lot of time. Morgan (1-1) trailed 2-0 at the time of the injury and gave up three goals in the final 20 minutes.

The boys play Kingwood Christian at home Saturday at 1 p.m.

 

Lee-Scott 5, Morgan 0 (Girls)

For a half, Morgan Academy played Lee-Scott evenly during Tuesday night’s soccer match. However, the second half was a completely different story.

Lee-Scott scored five goals in the second half and shut Morgan (1-1) out.

The girls host Tuscaloosa Monday at 5:30 p.m. in their next match.
