Central rallies by Concordia

Central State came from behind to knock off Concordia College Alabama Saturday 50-31.
The Hornets (0-9) rallied from an early 14-0 deficit thanks to three James Crosby touchdowns — two through the air and one on the ground — but couldn’t maintain the lead in their ninth loss of the year.
Concordia trailed 14-0 after a 60-yard interception return by Clim Robbins and a 5-yard run by Jihad Rasheed in the first six minutes of the game. Crosby answered by marching the Hornets 74 yards and throwing a 37-yard touchdown strike to Joseph Richards to pull the Hornets within 14-7.
Central State added a safety with 11:06 left in the second quarter and then returned the ensuing kickoff back for a touchdown to take a 23-7 lead.
Concordia scored the next 17 points. Pablo Grajales made a 28-yard field goal to pull the Hornets within 23-10. Crosby threw a 69-yard touchdown to Jareth Embry with only eight seconds left in the second quarter to make it 23-17 at halftime.
Concordia took the lead with 11:08 left in the third quarter on an 8-yard run by Crosby.
Central State quickly took back control.
Rasheed ran for a 3-yard touchdown to put the Marauders up 30-24. Jordan Howard scored on a 49-yard punt return to make it 37-24 and a 7-yard run by Deandre Grant put Central up 43-24. Concordia quarterback Jarvis Chambers threw a 65-yard touchdown to Markeis Levatte with 10:42 left in the game to give Concordia a chance, but Rasheed put it away on Central’s next possession.
He ran for a 50-yard touchdown — his third of the game — to put Central up 50-31 with 8:01 left.
