Dear editor,

On behalf of the family of Karan Hollis, I would like to express our deepest gratitude to this community.

The simple words “thank you” feel inadequate to describe our deep appreciation for the love and support surrounding Karan’s illness and death.

We are truly blessed to be a part of a community that is so supportive of others in their times of need. We are fortunate too for the understanding and commitment of our friends and neighbors to ease our burden.

We have felt your loving embrace during Karan’s illness and know that she will never be forgotten. Karan was a strong and selfless woman, and the numbers of people who have honored her life are a testament of her life and legacy.

The last few months have been difficult and we would not have been able to care for her without help.

There are far too many people to thank individually, but each and every one of you has touched us emotionally, spiritually and physically.

Your thoughtfulness and generosity has been both humbling and overwhelming. We will never forget the outpouring of love and support for our wife, mother and friend.
