Concordia College Alabama’s  women’s basketball team’s hopes of winning back-to-back United States Collegiate Athletic Association national championships ended Friday morning in a 63-57 loss to Daemen College at Penn State Fayette in Uniontown, Pa.

The Lady Hornets had won 24 consecutive games but couldn’t overcome a porous day shooting the ball to reach their second straight title game. Concordia made just 25 percent of its field goal attempts. It was by far the worst shooting performance of the year for the Hornets, who had only shot under 40 percent five times all season.

USCAA Player of the Year Tykeria Johnson was held to just 7 points on 3-of-17 attempts.
