Lula Dee Bearden, 88, of Clanton died Sunday, Jan. 18, 2015, at Hatley Health Care in Clanton.

She was born Saturday, Feb. 24, 1926, in Perry Co., daughter of the late Charlton Rush and the late Satchie Dawson Rush.

Before retirement, she and her husband were owners/operators of W.O. Bearden Nursery in Plantersville for 40 years. She was an active member at Plantersville Baptist Church, where she faithfully served her Lord. Affectionately known as Mama Dee, she was loved and will be missed by her family.

Surviving are her son, Mr. Billy (Esther) Bearden of Lincoln; daughter, Mrs. Cynthia Bearden (Randy) Tyus of Plantersville; grandsons, Dr. Casey (Ferial) Bearden of Kingston Springs, Tenn, Mr. Cyrus (Cheryl) Bearden of Falkville, Mr. Allen (Tammy) Bearden Sr. of Valley Grande and Mr. Clint (Nicole) Tyus of Lawley; granddaughter, Mrs. Renee (Brian) Ousley of Clanton; and 11 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, W.O. Bearden; and son, Bobby Bearden.

Friends will be received from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m., Wednesday, Jan. 21, 2015, at Plantersville Baptist Church.

Services will be held Wednesday, Jan. 21, 2015, at 11 a.m. at Plantersville Baptist Church with the Rev. Don Stephens officiating and Martin Funeral Home directing.

Interment will follow in Plantersville Christian Cemetery in Plantersville.
