On behalf of the Selma Lions Club and the Central Alabama Fair, we wish to express our appreciation and say thank you to all the people, moms and dads, grandparents and excited young children who supported and attended this year’s Central Alabama Fair.

Your $5 admission fee is not only used to put on the fair, but profits are given away to charities in our area. There are many people who participate in the fair to make it the success it is, and we thank them.

The includes the volunteers who assist daily, the police department who assists with parking and security, the people who enter the competitions. Also the people who participated in the beauty contests, the sing-off and all of our local vendors with games and food, and, of course, Archway Amusements whose rides, games and food booths were outstanding as usual.

The fair is a standard in our community and a time where everybody comes out for a few hours of excitement, visiting and watching the greatest wonderment of all — the great shining eyes of the young folks filled with excitement on their first ride, holding tightly to a bag of cotton candy!
