Senators soccer gets road win over Hooper Academy

The Morgan Academy Senators’ boys’ soccer team defeated Hooper Academy Tuesday night 4-2 behind a big night from Samir Freij.
Freij scored two goals, with the second breaking a 2-2 tie in the second half, to help the Senators (6-6) get back to .500 for the season overall.
Harrison Watters scored first for Morgan, tying the game 1-1. Hooper struck next, scoring on an own goal that bounced off the fingertips of Senators’ goalie Rance Morgan’s to give the Colts a 2-1 lead.
Freij took over from there, scoring the next two goals for Morgan to give the Senators a 3-2 lead. An own goal by the Colts helped Morgan grab a commanding 4-2 lead.
The Senators girls also won Tuesday, defeating Hooper 2-1 thanks to goals by Jordan Harrison and Lauren Rutherford. The Lady Senators are now 6-5 overall and 5-3 in region play.
